Character name: Ser Tomas Cavagh

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Class: Warrior

Age: Early 30s

Background: Ser Cavagh was born and bred in Highever. He took part in the rebellion against the Highever occupation during the Blight, and saw more brutality during that time than he ever wanted to. He is a surly man most of the time, but this is mainly due to the pressures of the positions he has been in. As the senior knight in Highever he has taken over the Knight-Captain positions. He doesn't want it permanently, as he feels he is not suited for it. He is a warrior in his mind, not a leader, despite those who have served with him and under his leadership believing he is a natural.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Character name: Ser Savriall

Race: City Elf

Gender: Female

Class: Rogue

Age: Early 20s

Background: Savriall was one of the first elves in Highever to become a squire. Her contemporaries unfortunately met their demise during the Plague. She was elevated to the rank of Knight in late 9:33 due to the recommendation of Ser Cavagh with under who she trained. She feels somewhat overwhelmed by it, not feeling confident in her abilities as of yet. Her family lives in the Highever Alienage, and she visits them often.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Character name: Anais Eitran

Race: Human

Gender: Female

Class: Rogue/Bard

Age: mid 20s

Background: Anais is the eldest daughter of Almaric, the Seneschal of Highever. She was sent to Orlais for her education, with Almaric arranging that she also get taught the bardic arts. He is grooming her to become the next seneschal. Anais has a light disposition most of the time, but can b as gravely serious as her father when the situation warrants. She has two younger sister's, her mother was killed during the Howe's occupation of Highever.

Oscar Redstone
Race
: Human
Age: Presumably older than Magnus but up to you by how much.
Class: Rogue (Duelist)
Occupation: Gambler, Charlatan, Duelist, Disgraced Nobleman
Background: Caethan’s former mentor with whom he no longer wants anything more to do with, due to a rather grim betrayal. This rogue’s background is entirely up to you—you could even rework the concept if you want to make him a more sympathetic character. After all, the events described in the spoiler below were entirely from Magnus’ POV and there’s two sides to every story. ;)
In his early adolescence, Caethan found a mentor in an unsavoury man - a duelist, gambler, and disgraced nobleman - dwelling in the Redcliffe region, by the name of Oscar Redstone. Redstone sometimes bet on the local fights Caethan participated in and he spotted potential in Caethan’s footwork, and his natural ambidexterity, and consequently took the young man under his wing. Caethan was naive enough at the time to think that Redstone was his first real friend, but he soon learned that the gambler only had profit on his mind when it came to his investment in training Caethan as a duelist in turn. Learning from Redstone came easier to Caethan than did his templar father’s attempt at forcing a longsword and shield into his hands. Redstone had a tumultuous relationship with his own mentor in turn, an Antivan duelist by the name of Victor, and was resentful at never having been able to beat the aptly named man in non-lethal competitive combat. Moreover resentful at Victor’s eventual refusal to allow Redstone further attempts to even try to best him, Redstone got it in his mind that his pupil might be successful in his stead, or so he led Caethan and Victor to believe. Redstone seemingly went to great pains to advance Caethan’s abilities as an exceptional duelist in turn, pouring years into his training during which Caethan learned to be a much more tactical fighter, mastering his strikes instead of swinging or slashing chaotic ones. A match was set, around a year before the onset of the Fifth Blight. Caethan won albeit only because Redstone had resorted to the underhanded strategy of poisoning Caethan’s daggers without his knowledge. Victor did not survive Redstone’s deceit, and Caethan never forgave his mentor for it.

The Grey Warden Recruiter
Race, Age, Name
: Up to you, my friend.
Class: Up to you, but should be someone experienced enough to stand toe-to-toe with Magnus in the skills department.
Affiliated Circle: Weisshaupt, but travels due to his being a recruiter.
Background: Again, there’s two sides to every story so you could make this character more sympathetic as well—up to you. This would have happened late Spring 9:31.
...despite trying to maintain a low-profile, his successes in the underground tournaments of Kirkwall did not go unnoticed by everyone. In 9:31, in the Maker-forsaken bowels of the city, an experienced Grey Warden recruiter, and a capable fighter in his own right, from Weisshaupt found the eldest Thornecroft sibling and invoked the right of conscription. To say he was an unwilling conscript would have been putting it lightly. In a very literal sense, the warden-recruiter and his associates had attempted to take Caethan - who was outnumbered - kicking, punching, and Tevene-cursing all the way to the Anderfels. Caeth has zero interest in fighting what remained of the darkspawn after the events of the Fifth Blight were pretty much settled. They were, after all and in Caethan's words "fucking darkspawn". The recruiter didn’t manage to drag Caethan to the Anderfels in the end. When the warden attempted a rushed Joining ritual along the road, Caethan fled once more. This time he made for the Nevarran border. He was getting rather good at avoiding the paths others had attempted to set out for him.

Little did Caeth know at the time that there had been some odd, longstanding feud between his templar father and the warden who had attempted to recruit him and such was a grudge that had existed long before Ser Graeven Thornecroft's transfer to Kirkwall from the Hossberg Circle. It was after the failed conscription itself that Caethan took on his new pseudonym in and out of the fighting rings. He kept an even lower profile in Cumberland for the rest of 9:31 and eventually heard rumours of his own death in kind. While he still fought to eke out a living, Caethan altered his appearance in addition to taking up his great-grandfather's name. While the warden’s feud with his father concerned Caethan, he made a deliberate choice in not reaching out to his family again. Firstly, he’d felt estranged from them even before his life took such a sideways turn following the interference of the corrupt warden. Secondly, he hoped that the warden’s lie regarding his own untimely death might serve to satisfy them both: allowing the warden some satisfaction in sticking it to Caethan’s father, while allowing Caethan a chance to start a new life free from those painful ties; those old, deep-rooted feelings of rejection and loss. It was selfish, he knew. All the same, he wanted to leave Caethan’s bullshit behind, bury the farm-boy, and remake himself into his own man.

The Hinterland Connection
Even prior to assuming a second identity, Caethan-turned-Magnus ran with a rough crowd. If you were a trouble-maker in the Redcliffe or general Hinterlands area at some point in the past, Pre-Blight, we could plot out their having known one another—if you like!
He’d also have been seen from time to time hanging around at local Chantries (looking super bored) in those areas, along with his sister, given that their grandfather was a Master Builder and was often hired to build, repair, or make additions to these sorts of structures. It’s possible Mason Thornecroft was hired by nobles from time to time as well, with his grandkids brought along to (reluctantly) apprentice.
Likewise, they grew up between Redcliffe and Lothering itself and would have had to pop in to those markets on a semi-regular basis—Honnleath as well, though to a lesser extent.

The Cumberland Connection
After avoiding his conscription into the Grey Wardens, Magnus hid out here for most of 9:31. If your character is from Cumberland or was there around that time, we could work something out plot wise for a Stories of the Past connection. Get in touch!

I have a lot of looking fors, so I separated them by each character's likely location or, if roving, by their faction. Just click on each "spoiler" button to expand. If you want to adopt someone below and need help building the application, do not hesitate to drop me a PM here or on Discord.

Image by Bioware, Tweaked by Yours Truly

Haldor Augusten Saeridin III
Nickname
: Hal or Sonny
Race: Surface Dwarf
Location: Kirkwall
Affiliations: Hanamene, Varric, Saeridin & Son Building Company, Dwarven Merchants' Guild
Mini Bio: A surface dwarf and Master Builder who inherited the family company. He was the son of surface dwarves Siena and another Master Builder, now deceased, named Haldor Saeridin Jr.. Hal's grandfather, the original Haldor, was from Orzammar - in his later years people called him Grampy Saeridin, or Grumpy behind his back.
Appearance: Sienna red hair and a twitchy moustache. In his forties.
Personality: Cantankerous. Secretly a softie. Survivalist i.e. will totally bail in dangerous situations. Head for business. Used to enjoy pranks in his youth. Doesn't like to curse outright (e.g. feck is a favourite alternative of his).

Ser Luther Wildes
Location
: Kirkwall
Race: Human
Age: Flexible on this, presumably older than Hana though.
Born: Free Marches, wherever you like therein.
Affiliations: Hanamene, Magnus, Kirkwall's Templar Order
Occupation: Templar - (current) Instructor; (formally) Knight-Tracker
Mini-Bio: Demoted from Knight-Tracker to Instructor at the Templar Order in Kirkwall, after failing to kill a maleficar. The Thornecroft siblings intervened and saved his life, Hana killing the mage in question. The trio made it to Kirkwall together. Ser Luther spends a lot of time training the recruits in the Gallows and was once a favourite sparring partner of Hana's. Ser Luther would have known Hana's father. Luther's family surname, and family details, would be up to you.
Appearance: Fair-haired. The rest is up to you.
Personality: Dutiful. Humble. Obliging. Took his demotion honourably. Actually enjoys being an instructor now. Again, the rest is up to you.
Bio (taken from Hana's backstory): More Info On Ser Luther"]Hana and Caethan's home would ultimately be destroyed in the Fifth Blight, however, which saw both of their grandparents killed. The siblings took flight, heading northward where they encountered a train of caravans beset upon by darkspawn. Among the survivors of the Ferelden convoy, were a templar and his apostate prisoner. Hana and Caeth witnessed the mage take advantage of the ensuing fray and in an effort to reclaim his own freedom, the prisoner turned on the templar. The mage attempted to take flight, battling through darkspawn to do so, while the injured templar likewise fought after him. Hana’s brother did not want to concern themselves with the templar’s quandary, but Hana insisted on helping the wounded man. Caeth complied only after being shamed to do so when his sister asked him what fate he might hope for, for their templar father, in a similar situation. The siblings took up weapons salvaged from the scene and the trio then set off after the apostate-turned-maleficar, escaping the darkspawn, and eventually caught up with the rebel mage. By then the templar’s health had worsened and the maleficar attempted to take advantage of the opportunity once more. The templar, to his credit, tried his best to cut down the mage but the templar's injuries were too great. The mage seemed sure enough about to finish the other man off. Hana could not stand aside. As the maleficar focused on disabling the templar further, Hana intervened and caught the mage by surprise with the plunge of her dagger. It was the first time Hanamene had ever taken the life of another person.
The siblings and well-marred templar, a Free Marcher called Ser Luther, thereafter made it across the Waking Sea to the Free Marches, after securing passage on a cramped vessel packed with a number of refugees. In Kirkwall, the trio were unexpectedly reunited with Graeven who had led a number of refugees there as well. It was only when the two templars came together to exchange tales did Hana learn the full extent of the slain mage’s crimes. The mage had been wanted for a number of reasons in Kirkwall, dating from before the Blight. His name was Gauvain Angevine, of Orlais, and he’d escaped capture many times before. He was not originally considered a maleficar despite his blossoming notoriety, thus the wounded templar had only wanted Gauvain to answer for his misconducts initially. The fact that the apostate became a maleficar in deciding to attack the templar made little difference to Hanamene. Circle mage, apostate, or maleficar – it didn’t matter in this instance, Gauvain was reckless and had to be stopped before he hurt anyone else.

Sister Maye
Nickname
: She and Hana call one another pixie or nixie, depending on if if they're being sweet or mischievous.
Location: Kirkwall
Race: Human
Born: Free Marches, wherever you like therein.
Affiliations: Hanamene, Kirkwall Chantry
Occupation: (current) Chantry Sister; (formally) Bard.
Mini Bio: One of the first people to befriend Hana in Kirkwall. She often knows the most valuable and/or most entertaining gossip related to Kirkwall's Chantry and Circle. Few know anything about her life prior to her joining the Chantry, because she's sparing with the details. Only with those closest to her will she talk about her past romantic dalliances, and it's implied she's not nearly as innocent as she looks. She's been known to leverage her unassuming appearance, when needed.
Appearance: Long red hair. Some freckles on the bridge of her nose. Petite and looks much younger than she is.
Personality: Devout Andrastian. Despite her vivacious personality, which she artfully plays down at the drop of a hat when she needs to, she has moments of incredible profundity. She has a big heart, but she can be saucy. Teasing and impish, but subtle about it. An incorrigible flirt when senior Chantry officials aren't around to scold her for it. Romantic and looks for opportunities to play matchmaker. Thinks Chantry and Circle officials should be allowed to marry, or at least not hide or seek a sanction for their affairs.
Text: B2849A (or change it, if you want)

Ser Merritt Warring (or a direct descendent of his)
Location: Hinterlands; holds land between Redcliffe and Lothering
Age: Would need to be at least 10 years older than Hana (i.e. born sometime around or before 9:1)
Race: Human
Born: Hinterlands; Ferelden
Affiliations: Redcliffe Arling; House Guerrin; Thornecroft family.
Occupation: Knight of Redcliffe
Mini-Bio: Veteran of the Fifth Blight. His lands neighboured those of Thornecroft Cottage. He took an interest in Hanamene's upbringing, likely feeling sorry for her that her father was rarely around and having not known her mother. He trained her to ride horses, quite well in fact and furthered her ability with the sword and shield. It's likely that Hanamene's grandmother tried to ingratiate their family with his, in an effort to regain some form of status.
Appearance: Tall and hale. The rest is up to you.
Personality: A mentor and a proud Fereldan. The rest is up to you.
Text: 406069 (or change it, if you want)

Somewhat specific to the DA:I timelines, but we can plan ahead if you want to take part.

Hanamene will eventually come to lead a small cavalry unit, never more than 10 horsemen, under this name. Originating out of the Redcliffe and Hinterlands region, they'd be based at a cantonment between Redcliffe and Lothering (Hana's family land repurposed for this reason). Though aggressive riders they'd remain a small force, avoiding large-scale combat when possible, and specialize instead on reconnaissance, tactical or attack-and-flee engagements. These would be veteran, auxiliary/irregular soldiers and horsemen, affiliated with the Arling of Redcliffe in particular.

When the Mage-Templar war spills into the Hinterlands, they would've been doing their part to fight mage or templar alike in favour of defending the commonfolk of the region.

If you've a character with loyalties to either Arl Teagan, the Arling of Redcliffe, or the Hinterlands and want to join in on this mini-plot (which we're letting flourish/develop IC), and want to be part of this - PM me.

Otherwise, the horsemen outside of Hanamene will be a revolving door of NPCs.

Riding ability is paramount, pun intended.

Read more about this in its Story Planning thread, if it interests you. Feel free to join the discussion there, too.

Some starter NPC cavalrymen, or riders, for this will be as follows (all of which you can adopt and make your own, if you want - below are just their nicknames*):
  • Rider Looks - a once dreadfully handsome man whose left side of his face was disfigured by a maleficar's lightening bolt. | Text: 3C58AB
  • Rider Marks - a woman covered in tribal-looking tattoos (suggestive of at least partial Chasind heritage). | Text: 4A4533
  • Rider Reverent - the most spiritual member of the unit, he's a devout Andrastian. | Text: AD4E36
  • Rider Gallant - a chivalrous man, likely a former squire and/or almost-knight before something sidetracked his calling. | Text: A17800
  • Rider Barnstorm - the stunt rider, a true showman. Should have the Master Rider skill, if adopted by someone. | Text: 9ACCD9
  • Rider Pierce - an androgynous, mounted archer and a damn good shot at that. | Text: 37735B
  • Rider Bastion - dons heavy armour, rides a barded horse. Slowest rider but he's the 'steel wall' of the unit. If adopted, this person would need to be heavily muscular to account for enduring the weight of their armour worn. Likely rides a destrier (war horse). | Text: 700711
* Hanamene's nickname amongst them is "Serjeant" or "Serj".

The Circle Connection
Hana would have made friends at Kirkwall's Circle between 9:30 and 9:34. Her Knight-Tracker father had been a recent transfer there during the start of the Blight itself. She was older than most recruits but showed promise. Everything changed when her father was slain by a Blood Mage, who remains at large, however. She was officially offered her place amongst the Templars the day of his funeral pyre, and while she accepted initially she would have had something of a crisis of faith that same evening and took furtive leave of the Circle without telling anyone.
I'm interested in friends for her, that may have felt jilted by this departure. Or Kirkwall Circle acquaintances in general, templar or mage alike.

The Hinterland Connection
No different than what was mentioned in Magnus' "Looking Fors" above. Hanamene would have been more of a willing apprentice to her grandfather when they were younger though. Though, she would've dropped all of that in an instant whenever her Knight-Tracker father rolled into town for a visit - in those instances she'd be off training with him, or seen around the Hinterlands riding his horse.
She likely did not have a lot of suitors back then because her family was overprotective, especially her brother (a couple of tame romances may have slipped through the cracks though, I'm open to it as a past plot thing!).

The Chantry Connection
She would have been a regular sight at Chantries growing up, especially Redcliffe's, either at services or assisting her Master Builder grandfather when he worked on them. After fleeing Ferelden during the Fifth Blight, she and her brother both went to Kirkwall (Winter 9:30-ish), where she would have been immediately pushed into Chantry life prior to her father pulling some strings to get her an in with the Templar Order there.
Just thought this could be a good connection with other character's as well, for Stories of the Past.

The Blood Connection
Hana and Magnus are elf-blooded, but were estranged from their elven mother when still toddlers. They don't know anything about their elven-side of the family. Open to someone taking that on, even if it's to play a cousin or something. You'd have the opportunity to build that whole side of the family. City elf or Dalish is up to you.
On their paternal side, via their Tevinter grandmother, the siblings are related to a disgraced magister (long-since assassinated) named Magnus Augur. I'm open to relatives from this side of the family as well, and open to whether or not the Augurs ever regained favour in the Imperium.
The Thornecroft name, I'm willing to share as well as it's entirely possible that Mason Thornecroft, the siblings' grandfather, might have had a brother or sister and thus the siblings might have paternal great-aunts, great-uncles, or second and third cousins in turn. Hana and Magnus' father was an only child, however, so first cousins wouldn't be possible on the paternal side.

The NPC Connection
Aside from Hal, who I plan to make a full-fledged character at a later date, and aside from relatives who are deceased - you can pretty much adopt, or affiliate your own character(s), with any of the other NPCs I've mentioned via the "spoiler" tab in Hanamene's thread tracker.

Character name: William Sanzil
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Class: Applicant preference (Must have Traps as a non-combat skill)
Age: Early/Mid-20s
Personality: Only real requirement is he is a bit of a scoundrel. Everything else is up to the player
Appearance: Looks good in leather. Otherwise, up to the player.

Background: William was a member of the Forgotten of Ferelden along with Linette. They were a street gang of teens that did what they had to in order to survive. The group got separated during the Blight. William and Linette managed to reunite during 9:33; both of their situations in life had greatly improved. William returned to Ferelden with a ship, a crew, and a fine set of leather pants. Linette and William parted ways in 9:34 but it would be great if he sailed his way back into things.

---------------------------

General open call: People interested in being part of a spy network. Street kids, alienage elves wanting to elevate themselves, workers in noble houses, all may apply. If you are interested, let me know and we can work out something.

Character name: Yvarin Xuresh (Yvie)
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Class: Civilian but can discuss other options!
Age: Early 40s
Personality: Up to the player! Take a look at the other Xuresh apps to get an idea of what shaped their personalities. I will say she was/is an excellent caretaker, even if she resented the role a bit. Also a very hard worker, and likely has that Xuresh single-minded focus.
Appearance: Slightly fairer skin than her brothers, and her hair is more brown than black. Blue-grey eyes. Everything else is up to the player.

Background: Yvie is the oldest of 5 kids in a family that was struggling to make ends meet after just two. By the time the twins (Tiran and Kiran) were born, their parents were pretty absent, with dad hardly around at all. She and Dristan took care of them for the most part while also manning the family apothecary. After a lot of events that shattered their family (check Dristan's history for details) she took the youngest of her siblings (Eva) to Redcliffe and got a job working in the kitchen scrubbing pots and pans. Over her time there she's risen to now be one of the head cooks, and she very much calls the shots in the kitchen.

---

Character name: Eva Xuresh (she just goes by Eva, or an assumed name)
Race: Human
Gender: Genderfluid
Class: Rogue
Age: 25
Personality: Extremely sarcastic. It's definitely her shield. Outwardly confident, but she has plenty of insecurities. She has a huge chip on her shoulder regarding her so-called "family," especially her eldest brother. Even Yvie--who practically raised her--is someone she has a very rocky relationship with. Her true family isn't blood, basically.
Appearance: So Eva is a half-sibling. She doesn't share a father with the rest of them, and it shows. Much lighter skin, light brown hair that's been bleached pretty well blonde by the sun. She dresses in androgynous clothing for the most part, but trends toward male presenting more often than not.

Background: Eva has a good reason for feeling like an outsider in her own family. By the time she was born, Tiran and Kiran had been shipped off, Dristan was just about to start working with a mentor away from home, and her mom was focused on running the shop in her (step) dad's absence. Her sister Yvarin raised her, but Eva always suspected she felt tethered by having to care for a child when she was little more than one herself. Once everything fell apart, Yvie took her to Redcliffe and she more or less grew up there, but set off on her own in her late teen years. In her original concept, she ended up captaining a ship and was more or less a pirate, but we have two excellent pirate ladies on the boards currently, so I'm a-okay with her getting into some other kind of mischief. Anywhere that she can be surrounded by people she considers family more than the Xureshes.

Ahoy! Looking to travel the seas of Thedas, have grand adventures and prank the high and mighties? The Wicked Grace, soon to be setting sail from Kirkwall to Antiva (as soon as she gets her new masts) has a whole shipload of NPC's available for adoption, and if you have an OC that you think would be a good fit (hard working, fun loving, not too law abiding), there are a couple of berths open.

PM me on Celeste if interested!

_______________________________________________________________

Character Name : Torgun Torgunnsen - Bo'sun

Gender - Male

Race - Dwarf

Age - 48

Personality - Quiet and gruff, but he can be counted on in a pinch. Or a fight.

Appearance – Grey hair and beard, tanned and weathered skin, hands scarred from years of wielding tools.

Background - Known as 'Young Torgun', despite being close to fifty, the surface dwarf is one of the veterans of the crew. He helped his father build the ship alongside Quinton Monroe, taking his father's spot as bo'sun after Old Torgun had died in 9:14. His beard is more grey than black, but his hands have lost none of their skill; after generations on the surface, the dwarven talent for shaping stone had shifted to wood in the Torgun clan, with Old Torgun the first to turn that talent to shipbuilding. Young Torgun knows the Wicked Grace better than any of the rest of the crew.

_______________________________________________________________

Character Name - Oliver Brannigan – Ship's Healer

Gender – Male

Age – 60

Personality – Well read and unfailingly gallant, save for the occasional acerbic comment when he is treating a case of the clap or stitching up a wound received during a foolhardy endeavor.

Appearance - A tall man whose strong build has shrunken a bit with age, the healer and alchemist has a full head of grey hair, a neatly trimmed beard and clear blue eyes.

Background - the last of the original three friends who built the Wicked Grace, Brannigan is the unofficial father figure of the crew. He's no mage, but his skills have pulled off more than a few saves that would have templars giving him the side-eye.

_______________________________________________________________

Character Name - James “Stubby” Stubbins – Cook

Gender – Male

Race – Human

Age – 45

Personality - Tries to be gruff, but he's got a soft heart.

Appearance - Balding, portly and generally in need of a shave. Missing his left leg at the knee, uses a crutch to get around.

Background - Stubby started on the Wicked Grace as cabin boy over thirty years ago, working his way up to second mate before losing his leg in a fight. Refusing to give up the sea, he has stayed on as the ship's cook. His hobby of knitting, first taught to him by his mother, keeps the crew in woolen watchcaps and sweaters on the winter runs south.

_______________________________________________________________

Character Name - Dax Belzer

Gender – Male

Race – Human

Personality - Quiet and steady, but can throw a punch almost as hard as Gideon when a fight breaks out.

_______________________________________________________________

Character Name - Kalindra 'Kali' Delaine

She's the den mother of the Wicked Grace, but can hold her own in a fight.

These characters will be primarily for the post-Trespasser timeline, as they are still children in the DAO/DA2 Timeline. They are two of Goldanna's three surviving children (the third, Arwen, is still a bit young yet) & Alistair's niece and nephew. Sent to a Jader orphanage in secret by Arl Eamon to obscure Alistair's commoner origins, they were rescued by Leliana and brought back to their uncle in 9:33 & were raised by him from that point.

PM me on Alistair Theirin or Cauthrien if you are interested in either of them.

Character Name - Elena "Lena" Mason

Gender - Female

Race - Human

Age - Born Kingsway 3, 9:21

Personality - Fiercely independent & protective of her brother and sister. Quiet & fairly serious, with zero interest in flirting.

Appearance - Tall and slender, with long, ash blonde hair and brown eyes

Background - Goldanna's oldest, she saw her mother and two of her brothers killed by darkspawn as she pushed Bran and Arwen to safety. Could be rogue or warrior class, but she has idolized Leliana since the bard rescued her and her siblings, and being able to protect herself is very important to her. Was initially very wary of Alistair, but warmed to him when she saw how well he took care of Bran and Arwen. Likely some rebellion in the teen years, though.

Character Name - Bran Mason

Gender - Male

Race - Human

Age - Born Justinian 5, 9:24

Personality - He has outgrown his childhood shyness, and is a confident young man with a ready smile who enjoys being in the thick of things, but also being able to stretch out with a good book, and still very much believes in heroes and happy endings

Appearance - Still a bit short from the illness & malnutrition of his youth, his dedication to training has bulked him out. Sandy blonde hair and hazel eyes

Background - Goldanna's only surviving son. Bran was quite sickly for some time after being brought to Denrim, but skilled healers and plenty of good food did wonders. He idolizes the Grey Wardens as much as he ever has, but after Alistair put his foot down, he has satisfied himself with training to be a knight

This character would be for a post-Trespasser timeline as she is still a child during DAO/DA2 time periods.

Character Name: Eunice Howe

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Age: Born Solace 12, 9:24

Personality: This is up to the individual. Eunice, as a child, was stubborn and quite willful. How this translates into adulthood is up to the player.

Appearance: There is no mistaking Eunice is a Howe. She favors her aunt, Delilah, with black hair and blue eyes.

Background: Eunice is the bastard child of Nathaniel Howe, conceived during his banishment in the Free Marches. He did not know of her existence until she showed up on the doorsteps of Vigil's Keep in 9:34. Her mother had been paid by Rendon Howe to keep the child a secret from Nathaniel as he had plans for his son and a bastard would have gotten in the way.

Nathaniel tried to raise her himself with the aid of his wife, Fiona. However, some time after Fiona's death, feeling himself unable to raise a child given all his other obligations, he sent Eunice to be fostered by Fergus Cousland.

This Looking For is primarily intended for the Post-Trespasser timeline, but there would be threading possibilities in the DAO/DA2, as well.

Character Name - Thaelor Hawkwind

Occupation - Commander of the Blackstone Irregulars

Gender - Male

Race - Human

Age - Year of birth range between 95 Blessed & 5 Dragon

Personality - Intelligent & well read, fair but demanding and shares his father's dedication to continuing to build the Blackstones' reputation as a reliable and honorable company

Background - As the younger son of Raelnor Hawkwind, Thaelor frequently found himself in the shadow of his brother Taoran until the Blight, when Taoran's ambition and greed led him to attempt to take over the Blackstone Irregulars by asking the Grey Wardens to kill their father. When they instead killed him, Raelnor began to lean more on his remaining son, eventually stepping back and giving him command of the company in 38 Dragon. Under his leadership, the company has grown to more than two hundred, generally hired out in groups of ten to fifty warriors and scouts. Following the explosion at the Conclave, he offered the company's services to the Inquisition, and also to nobles and communities struggling with demons, bandits, Venatori and Red Templars. May or may not have been Vandi's sometime lover (left to the player)

Openings available for members of the Blackstones, as well. All ages, races & genders possible. Primarily warrior & rogue classes; the Blackstones don't recruit apostates, but if they had one with good combat skills apart from magic, they'd stay mum about it.

PM me on Cauthrien if you are interested!

Special canon recruitment Looking Fors:

Name: Alfstanna Eremon, Arl of Denerim

Race: Human

Gender: Female

Class: Warrior or rogue

Background: Once the Bann of Waking Sea after her older brother joined the Templar order, Alfstanna was made Arl of Denerim by Alistair & Constance in 9:35. A staunch supporter of the Grey Wardens during the Blight & loyal to King Alistair, she took over the Arling from a desire to banish what was becoming known as 'Howe's Curse' on the office once and for all.

Name: Irminric Eremon, Bann of Waking Sea CLAIMED

Race: Human

Gender: Male

Class: Warrior (Templar)

Background: Originally the heir to the Waking Sea bannorn, Irminric stepped aside for his younger sister, who he believed better suited to lead their people, and joined the Templar order. During the Blight, however, he was captured by soldiers loyal to Loghain Mac Tir while attempting to apprehend an escaped blood mage. Held prisoner for months in Rendon Howe's dungeon beneath the Arl of Denerim's estate, by the time he was freed by Aedan Cousland and his companions, he was nearly dead and half mad from lyrium withdrawal and torture. Under his sister's care, he has recovered physically and mentally, but suffers from PTSD and has never regained enough strength to rejoin the templars, Not wanting to be a burden, he agreed to take over as Bann when Alfstanna became Arl of Denerim, but privately has doubts about his fitness for the task.

Putting out a LF for Celeste's younger half-sister

Character Name - Terese "Tess" Cantwell

Gender – Female

Race – Human

Age – Born in 9:24 (She'll primarily be in the Post-Trespasser timeline, where she'll be 21)

Class, Personality & Appearance - Up to the player

Background - Reginald Cantwell married an Antivan woman a few months after Celeste eloped with Daniel. Tess is the oldest (exact number of siblings is up to the player) of their children and the heir to the Cantwell family business. Reggie did a better job the second time around, likely because his wife survived to handle the nurturing part, and was a doting - if regularly absent - father.

Tess first meets Celeste in 9:36, when she is kidnapped by a business rival of Reginald's & he enlists his prodigal daughter to rescue her. Beyond that, I'm open to ideas. Does Tess idolize her adventurous half sister, or is she a chip off the old block who thinks Celeste is an uncouth heathen?

She'll have had an education befitting the heir to a successful merchant house and is likely well traveled and fluent in several languages.

PM me on Celeste Monroe or Cauthrien if you're interested!

Cullen's LFs...

Rutherford Siblings:

Mia (eldest, would've been born before Cullen), Branson (second youngest, would've been born after Cullen), & Rosalie (youngest, would've been born after Branson).

I'm not particular about their chosen professions, or where they wound up after their escape from Honnleath to South Reach, since we don't know much about any of them from the game's canon overall.

Flexibility with physical appearance, too, but I think it'd make sense if there's some resemblance. :sneaky: Cullen seems to have dark facial hair despite his light hair, so it's possible one of the parents was fair-haired while the other was darker-haired. Variations in sibling resemblances are not unheard of.

Former Associates:

More a general call out to anyone with Templar Order affiliations - e.g. Rylen, Lysette, Belinda Darrow, Fletcher, Ser, Evangeline de Brassard, etc. If you want to work out pre-existing association between Cullen and your character, just drop me a note and we'll figure something out!

Open Call:

Cullen needs help with setting up the Templar sanctuary, as well.

He'd be looking for anyone, really: mage and non-mage healers, domestic help, scouts to keep tabs on bandits (Grand Forest Villa has a storied history, and lies along an old lyrium smuggling route), etc.

Even trainers, as some templars looking to stop taking lyrium might want to train in a new warrior/non-templar skillset. Options are endless.

Cullen also needs a senescal to look after GFV for when he has to leave the sanctuary to do Inquisition work.
